Key Responsibilities

  • •Support strategic option analysis by providing cost-benefit assessments, business value drivers, and data-driven economic and risk assumption validation for senior decision-making.
  • •Analyze trends and market intelligence to develop business cases and value hypotheses for technology projects progressing through the corporate stage-gate process.
  • •Create financial models to establish the value of technologies for development, deployment, and external licensing efforts.
  • •Develop robust financial cases with techno-economic models for investment appraisal, and provide financial and economic insights for evaluating technology performance against KPIs.
  • •Develop and maintain techno-economic evaluation tools and models, track and report value realized from deployed technologies, and support internal/external reviews and licensing opportunity evaluation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Econometrics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • •Advanced degree or financial certification (MBA/Finance/CFA) is highly preferred.
  • •Minimum 13 years professional experience, including at least 5 years leading in energy or chemicals and/or leading management consulting.
  • •At least 5 years conducting incremental cost-benefit/effectiveness and budget impact analyses for decision making using mathematical/economic/statistical modeling tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, decision trees, Markov modeling, discrete event simulations, real options, risk adjustment).
  • •In-depth knowledge of core businesses (downstream refining, petrochemicals, midstream, upstream) and emerging technologies tied to corporate sustainability, plus mastery of quantitative economic/financial analysis and technology valuation using tools such as Excel, Power-Bi, SQL, SAS, R, Matlab, and Tableau.
