Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and complete pipeline operations and maintenance tasks and projects for natural gas and products systems (including corrosion, measurement, controls, and mechanical maintenance).
  • •Operate heavy excavation equipment and support excavation spotter tasks, including work on in-service pipelines.
  • •Perform pipeline hot taps/stopples, pigging operations (launch/monitor/receive pigs), internal pipeline cleaning, and hydrostatic testing and leak surveys.
  • •Inspect coating removal and apply coating systems (including 2-part epoxies), calibrate and maintain holiday detectors, and locate/mark pipelines using line detection equipment or probe rods.
  • •Manage contractor construction crews, develop work plans, ensure compliance with governmental/company procedures, and handle administrative tasks such as ordering parts and completing timesheets/expense accounts.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • •5+ years of experience in pipeline construction, maintenance, and repair, including operating and maintaining heavy excavation equipment (e.g., hydrovac truck, backhoe, excavator, dozer).
  • •Must possess and maintain a valid CDL driver license, or obtain one within 6 months of hire, with a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurers.
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering construction blueprints for pipeline and compressor station projects.
  • •Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory policies (including OSHA and DOT pipeline regulations) and respond to emergency/after-hours calls.
