Job Summary

Provide effective English Foreign Language (EFL) instruction for second-language learners in a student-centered environment. Contribute to system-wide and faculty/division policy development, teach using course syllabi and program goals, and support learning through assessment, feedback, and student advising. Participate in applied research, conferences, committees, and student group activities, while handling course assessment reporting and continuous improvement work.

Key Responsibilities

•Teach EFL courses aligned to course syllabi and program goals, using practical, applied instructional approaches.
•Develop and use educational technology resources; deliver continuous feedback using assessment tools for tests, projects, and assignments.
•Assess students, update grades timely, and contribute to question banks and coursework assessments as requested.
•Serve as a student advisor, provide recommendations on at-risk action plans, maintain office hours, and support/mentor students during internships and work placements.
•Contribute to applied research, conferences, committees, course/curricula revision, and continuous improvement activities (including eCAF/CAR and course management).

Key Requirements

•A Ph.D. in TESOL or a relevant discipline where applicable.
•Alternatively, a Master’s degree plus a professional certification (CELTA, CertTESOL, DELTA, or DipTESOL) relevant to the discipline.
•3+ years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
•Ability to apply effective instruction and student success strategies in a second-language environment.
•Experience incorporating educational technology into curriculum and instructional strategies.
