Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive, solution-oriented legal and regulatory advice to support product development and launches while meeting regulatory obligations.
  • •Advise on SEC law and regulations applicable to national securities exchanges and broker-dealers, including the intersection of securities laws with prediction markets and jointly regulated derivatives products.
  • •Identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks for new products and services while maximizing commercial opportunities.
  • •Assist business units with contract terms and negotiations, and legal support for business operations including licensing and data provisioning.
  • •Draft, review, and update policies/procedures and terms/conditions for trading regulated products; represent OG with the SEC and review marketing/sales materials for compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified/licensed lawyer with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial product legal and regulatory work for SEC-regulated clients.
  • •Excellent knowledge of US financial laws and regulatory structures, including maintaining licenses and enabling product/operations under these frameworks.
  • •Experience handling issues for SEC-regulated clients in a major law firm or as a licensed entity (broker-dealer or national securities exchange).
  • •Expertise in securities laws and SEC regulations, plus FINRA rules; familiarity with CFTC and NFA rules is beneficial.
  • •Excellent English communication skills and strong organizational/project management to handle high volume and competing demands.
