Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver education and counseling (including one-on-one sessions, consultations, and referral resources) addressing financial topics across the military lifecycle.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and conduct personal financial management classes/workshops and respond to requests for age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing trends and issues from assigned installations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years of experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Obtain and maintain one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
