Key Responsibilities

  • •Align with ongoing airend engineering projects to meet technical, time, and quality requirements while collaborating with compressor package design engineers.
  • •Perform mechanical design of rotating and static parts (pressure housing, bearings, shafts) using calculations, standards, and 3D CAD parts/assemblies/drawings for manufacture.
  • •Develop accurate engineering BOMs, assembly and drawings for ECR/ECN processing in Windchill PLM.
  • •Conduct mechanical design calculations to verify existing designs or select new ones, including work on large casting and machining parts for compressors.
  • •Prepare documentation for NPD or i2V design reviews and RCAs, and communicate effectively with global stakeholders while working remotely.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of design experience with compressor/blower/vacuum pump or similar rotating equipment, including subsystem sizing, selection, and integration.
  • •2+ years designing machined castings, forgings, shafts, journals, bearings, and seals.
  • •1+ years using CREO 9 (or higher) and Windchill PLM for small-to-medium assemblies and top-down/bottom-up modeling.
  • •Strong English communication skills for working with global stakeholders.
  • •Experience as an individual contributor able to collaborate cross-functionally and independently manage work flows.
