Key Responsibilities

  • •Co-deliver the Business Engagement strategy with the Assistant Director (BERI) and other Business Engagement Partners.
  • •Work with senior academic colleagues and external stakeholders to secure income, opportunities, and partnerships aligned to priority research themes.
  • •Support business-university projects through internal systems and processes, making recommendations for improvements where required.
  • •Partner with the RSSD College Hub to link relationship development to contract and project operationalisation.
  • •Maintain detailed CRM records and agree stretching but achievable targets with the Assistant Director, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualifications).
  • •Experience securing funding opportunities, including developing funding applications with a University, industry, or commercial partner.
  • •Experience planning and organising a pipeline of collaboration opportunities to deliver stretching project targets.
  • •Ability to balance reactive and proactive work, prioritise under pressure, and make creative decisions.
  • •Good understanding of the UK Higher Education funding environment with a focus on industry, plus confidence using information management systems and data to inform decisions.
