Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in pre-season orientation and help lead venue sustainability training sessions.
  • •Coordinate day-of-show sustainability updates with venue leaders and support departments in implementing sustainability into operations.
  • •Oversee and assist post-show sorting for recycling, composting, and landfill materials and manage compliance and quality control of the zero-waste plan.
  • •Use event day checklists to assess readiness, adjust as necessary, and identify opportunities to improve diversion efforts throughout the season.
  • •Track and report program metrics, complete the Venue Audit assessment, and participate in weekly progress calls with the national sustainability team.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 1 year in a leadership position in operations/event coordination, guest services and communications, or event/campus sustainability or zero-waste events.
  • •High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Creative thinker and problem solver with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • •Acute judgment, tact, and diplomacy, with a strong teamwork mindset and ability to execute programs.
  • •Time management and ability to excel in an unstructured environment, with physical ability on show days (walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting/carrying 50 lbs+).
