Job Summary

Originate residential 1st mortgage loans from outside referrals, taking applications through closing and owning the full loan lifecycle. Build and maintain referral relationships, follow mortgage company policies and underwriting/closing guidelines, and manage the loan pipeline with timely updates. Use tools and systems such as Fannie Mae Form 1003, daily rate access, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and LOMAS while meeting sales and cross-selling objectives and risk expectations.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts) to generate residential mortgage loan referrals.
•Maintain expertise in mortgage company policies, loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting/department guidelines.
•Complete applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 and collect documentation within management timeframes.
•Use daily rates, applicant credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and provide required management reports and timely updates to branches and applicants.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Requires S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at time of employment.
