Key Responsibilities

  • •Weigh and grade incoming scrap loads by operating inbound scales and identifying load contents.
  • •Direct customers to appropriate unloading areas and facilitate payment for in-bound material in compliance with H&S and E standards.
  • •Operate outbound scale by identifying commodity codes and computing ticket totals for payment.
  • •Test in- and out-bound scales for accuracy and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
  • •Complete required DMV forms and coordinate accurate, timely documentation of purchasing transactions.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED; minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or scrap industry preferred.

  • •Mathematical and problem-solving skills, basic negotiation skills, attention to detail, and basic typing skills.
