Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop plastic components for ultrasound products to meet medical standards for durability, precision, and compatibility.
•Oversee injection-molding tooling design and specifications; collaborate with tooling vendors to optimize mold design for cost, efficiency, and quality.
•Select appropriate plastic materials based on mechanical, thermal, and biocompatibility requirements for ultrasound applications.
•Apply DFM principles and reliability/risk methods (e.g., DFSS, DFMEA, DFM, tolerance stack-up) to minimize defects and costs for high-volume production.
•Lead mechanical engineering projects, manage timelines/budgets/deliverables, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and conduct design reviews while integrating components with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

•Master’s or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with 10+ years of experience.
•Experience with configuration management tools such as eMarix, Windchill, or SAP.
•Ability to technically lead a team with machine design, manufacturing processes, materials selection, and value engineering domain expertise.
•Knowledge and experience in thermal modeling, analysis, and design (preferred).
•Proficiency with CAD/FEA tools like Proe/Creo, SolidWorks, Windchill, Ansys Classic, or Ansys Workbench (added advantage).
