Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine microbiology testing and report accurate results within established turnaround times (TAT).
•Process, analyze, and validate patient specimens following approved laboratory procedures and protocols.
•Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while ensuring proper documentation.
•Perform quality control activities, validation studies, and support proficiency testing to maintain laboratory quality standards.
•Ensure compliance with CAP, ISO 15189, DOH, JCI, infection control, and laboratory safety requirements; prepare reagents/media/stains and monitor inventory.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
•Valid DOH license (or eligibility) as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
•Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory.
•Strong knowledge of microbiology techniques, quality control, and accreditation standards (CAP, ISO 15189, JCI).
•Experience operating microbiology laboratory equipment and performing validation/quality assurance activities; ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
