Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform desktop reviews and property risk assessments for loss control topics at location and account levels.
  • •Proactively liaise with underwriting teams to support underwriting activities and develop a comprehensive risk understanding.
  • •Deliver concise, high-quality, objective risk views in a timely manner, including insights and analysis to determine likelihood of impact to loss mitigation.
  • •Apply NFPA/FM safety guidelines, codes, and local standards in risk assessment work.
  • •Use engineering judgement and collaborate with underwriting to improve overall account risk quality through identified insights.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology with specialization in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automobile, Industrial, or Civil.
  • •3 to 5 years of professional experience with technical expertise across property exposure identification, risk assessment, and loss control adequacy.
  • •Strong familiarity with technical aspects of property insurance, including loss estimates and key elements such as sprinklers/water supplies and construction.
  • •Experience in the insurance industry, including loss prevention/fire protection and Nat-Cat knowledge (plus).
  • •Data-focused approach with interest in new technologies in engineering and analytics.
