Job Summary

Perform mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery to keep production downtime minimal, handling breakdowns and planned preventive/predictive work with limited supervision. Use SAP to manage maintenance records and spare parts, troubleshoot repeated failures, and carry out welding and fabrication. Ensure compliance with EHS and plant operational requirements, run daily inspections and checklists, and mentor newly joined mechanics while supporting continuous improvement activities.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Tackle mechanical equipment breakdowns and carry out planned preventive/predictive maintenance within time constraints to minimize production downtime.
•Assess job requirements, select necessary tools/equipment, and ensure maintenance is executed according to safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
•Use SAP to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintain records of completed maintenance work.
•Identify and report abnormalities; initiate repairs/replacements/tests and recommend/complete modifications for repeated breakdowns.
•Perform welding and fabrication, run daily PM inspections/checklists, and mentor newly joined mechanics.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in a relevant field.
•Completion of PEC Craft Training.
•3 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma.
•Good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools, good computer skills, and ability to read engineering drawings/manuals/instructions.
