Job Summary

Support SpaceX’s expanding Starlink water treatment site in Bastrop, TX by maintaining and troubleshooting critical ultra-pure water, industrial wastewater, and zero liquid discharge systems. Install, calibrate, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and motor starters. Diagnose analog and digital control loops, configure data acquisition and HMIs, and assist with commissioning and upgrades using P&IDs and electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair industrial instrumentation (pH, ORP, conductivity, turbidity, and flow/level/pressure/temperature transmitters).
•Troubleshoot and maintain control panels, PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), VFDs, and motor starters for water treatment skids.
•Diagnose issues in 4-20mA, 0-10V, and Ethernet/IP/Modbus digital communication loops.
•Optimize chemical dosing pumps and automated valves with the water operations team to improve process efficiency.
•Execute preventative maintenance and assist engineers with commissioning/upgrades while reading P&IDs, schematics, and logic diagrams.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•3+ years of professional experience in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or industrial electrical work.
•Experience working with low voltage controls (24VDC) and high voltage power (up to 480VAC).
•Associate degree in instrumentation technology, electrical engineering technology, or related field.
•Proficiency with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and Ignition SCADA software.
