Job Summary

Drive signal integrity innovation for next-generation high-speed signaling used in Dell enterprise server platform development. Work with internal engineering teams and ODM partners on simulation, analysis, and validation of high-speed interfaces, routing, materials, and interconnect solutions. Lead electrical validation test plan development, guide design reviews using signal integrity rules and best practices, and collaborate with suppliers to co-develop platform guidelines, simulation tools, and future ecosystem directions.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with silicon and passive component suppliers to gather documentation/models, develop and validate simulation models, and correlate simulation results.
•Analyze electrical designs and simulate routing/material/interconnect solutions to define a solution space and set design constraints for high-speed interfaces.
•Develop optimized simulation strategies to characterize worst-case system conditions across manufacturing volume and environmental variations, and support layout design constraint delivery.
•Provide guidance in design reviews based on signal integrity rules and best practices for internal and external platforms.
•Lead development of electrical validation test plans and help resolve signal integrity issues to protect product delivery and quality.

Key Requirements

•Thorough understanding of transmission line theory and electromagnetic field theory.
•Experience using signal integrity tools, including 2D, 3D, and Power Integrity simulation.
•Experience with advanced test and measurement equipment for signal integrity tasks.
•Experience in analogue and digital circuit theory and principles.
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, plus 2+ years professional experience (or an equivalent master’s degree).
