Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor the ASU via distributed control system/HMI and perform thorough field rounds to identify and report equipment and process deviations immediately.
  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and support calibration for critical ASU equipment, including compressors, turboexpanders, cryogenic distillation columns, molecular sieve beds, gas analyzers, control valves, and instrumented electrical systems.
  • •Execute plant startups, shutdowns, mode changes, and abnormal situation response according to approved operating procedures and alarm response matrices.
  • •Collect process samples, perform basic field testing, log operational data accurately, and report deviations immediately.
  • •Perform lockout/tagout, permit-to-work, job hazard analyses, and Process Safety Management activities with strict discipline while maintaining 5S standards and coordinating support for spares and reliability efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process engineering technology; or 6+ years of industrial environment/plant operations experience with air separation units, cryogenics, industrial gases, chemical, or oil & gas.
  • •4+ years of experience operating or supporting automated industrial processes.
  • •Ability to follow approved operating procedures and alarm response matrices during startups, shutdowns, mode changes, and abnormal situations.
  • •Experience working with process safety requirements (e.g., lockout/tagout and Process Safety Management activities) with strong discipline.
  • •Experience (or willingness) to learn ASU systems and operating procedures grounded in cryogenic physics and first principles.
