Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop direct field exploration programs including soil/rock borings, test pits, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, and geotechnical instrumentation.
  • •Supervise geotechnical design and construction, including inspection of retaining walls, ground improvement, foundations, dams, levees, slopes, and tunnels.
  • •Oversee development of geotechnical design parameters for shallow/deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, transportation infrastructures, embankments, cut-and-fill slopes, and tunnels.
  • •Prepare and review geotechnical work plans, geotechnical reports, and engineering submittals; ensure design plan/specification compliance and recommend improvements.
  • •Support construction submittal/RFI review, mentor junior engineers, meet clients for proposals, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS and 6+ years of Civil, Structural, and/or Geotechnical Engineering (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •California PE license or ability to obtain a California PE license within 6 months.
  • •Valid driver’s license required.
  • •10+ years of local project experience (preferred).
  • •Strong transportation experience related to highway/bridge/airport/port projects (preferred).
