Support the Starship Avionics mission by designing, analyzing, and testing high-voltage power systems for spaceflight hardware. You’ll develop electrical power system requirements, perform verification testing and analysis, and run design trades at the system and subsystem level. Collaborate with multidisciplinary design, test, and production teams to create new power electronics hardware used in the avionics stack.

•Provide engineering expertise in design, system analysis, and testing of high voltage systems, including lithium-ion batteries, solid state load switches, DC-DC power converters, and power distribution optimization.
•Work on electrical power system and subsystem-level design trades and develop requirements.
•Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
•1+ years of experience with high voltage systems, lithium-ion batteries, solid state load switches, DC-DC power converters, or power distribution (personal projects, research, internships, and extracurricular academic projects qualify).
•Previous experience with DC-DC power converters, electric motors, lithium-ion batteries, or solid state load switches.
•Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of electrical power systems.
•Understanding of design for fault tolerance and reliability.
