Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end engineering delivery for big data ETL and scoring pipelines, covering design, build, testing, release, and operational support.
  • •Architect and evolve scalable cloud-native data solutions using GCP services aligned to non-functional requirements.
  • •Develop and optimize Spark/Scala jobs for large-scale batch processing, including data quality controls and enrichment for feature/scoring outputs.
  • •Drive integration patterns and engineering standards around the Quantexa platform for ingestion, entity resolution/analytics workflows, and downstream consumption.
  • •Design and implement efficient indexing/retrieval patterns using Elastic Search, and raise engineering standards through best practices and technical reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience building production-grade ETL pipelines and data platforms at scale in a hands-on big data engineering role.
  • •Advanced Spark and Scala experience, including performance tuning, partitioning strategies, handling skew, and production support.
  • •Strong GCP experience designing and running data workloads (e.g., Dataproc, GCS, CloudSQL, GKE/containers) with familiarity across IAM/security basics and networking considerations.
  • •Technical leadership experience owning solution design and guiding teams through delivery, including estimation/planning and mentoring.
  • •Solid engineering fundamentals across distributed systems, data modelling, batch processing patterns, fault tolerance, and CI/CD testing discipline.
