Key Responsibilities

  • •Research and explain PostHog use cases, technical concepts, and how things work in real systems.
  • •Write tutorials, engineering posts, and SEO/AEO explainers that teach developers what they need to build with PostHog.
  • •Determine what to write based on what the company is shipping, priorities, and what’s interesting to cover.
  • •Choose appropriate formats (engineering blog, SEO explainer, X thread) for the idea.
  • •Collaborate with engineers and other marketers to capture what was built, why it matters, and edit drafts when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Create genuinely useful technical writing that explains complex ideas clearly, with a strong commitment to the craft and quality.
  • •Demonstrate experience writing technical content for a developer audience (e.g., technical explainers, engineering posts, tutorials).
  • •Show technical curiosity and comfort learning and accurately explaining concepts like logs and traces, data warehouses, APIs, LLMs, and agents.
  • •Have good taste for educational content vs content written only to rank for keywords.
  • •Work independently to decide what to write and develop a point of view without weekly assignment queues.
