Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake/cooling, steering, engine, transmission, clutch, and related systems; use tools and test instruments to identify malfunctions.
  • •Road test vehicles, maintain parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, and perform safety checks including pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work performed, parts used, and findings by completing DOT forms and uploading repair documentation using a company iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • •Work independently and manage concurrent tasks and scheduling while complying with safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as certifications/degree beyond HS, or 5 years of experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for required duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; provide a current valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity if applicable.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File; candidate must be at least 21 years or older.
