Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize new and existing equipment hardware from concept to implementation to meet advanced 3D NAND requirements, working closely with suppliers.
  • •Lead complex equipment development projects and participate with suppliers, focusing on equipment technology maturity, technical advantage, and cost/productivity improvements.
  • •Collaborate with process development peers to decide equipment technology choices for advanced nodes and translate future technology needs into clear equipment requirements.
  • •Oversee installation, qualification, and commissioning of industry FOAK tools or CIP hardware evaluations, and coordinate cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
  • •Manage equipment development project execution (budgeting, scheduling, resourcing), troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain comprehensive documentation and safety compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •2-3 years of semiconductor industry experience in equipment engineer roles.
  • •Strong understanding of equipment operation, working principles, troubleshooting, and tool installation procedures.
  • •Ability to model and understand equipment principles, with interest in fundamental equipment understanding.
  • •Exposure to R&D equipment transfer and ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design is preferred.
  • •Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with partners locally and globally, while adhering to Micron intellectual property protection policy.
