Job Summary

Lead mechanical engineering work for building and infrastructure projects, providing high-level technical guidance across due diligence, investigation, remediation, permitting, design, and construction. Own mechanical systems deliverables for concept through completion, including HVAC/automatic temperature control, air distribution, and hydronics. Coordinate and review installation designs for code compliance, support cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and prepare technical reports, calculations, and safety plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide guidance on collecting, compiling, and analyzing site and project data for mechanical design and construction.
•Apply mechanical engineering techniques across project phases (concept, design, procurement, construction, operation) to identify improvements.
•Perform mechanical engineering research and inspections to verify conformance with applicable standards, permits, and rules.
•Develop construction/installation plans and specifications, including safety and phasing plans, and update infrastructure layout plans with coordination across disciplines.
•Oversee cross-functional engineering teams, coordinate code-compliant installation design reviews, and prepare technical reports, presentations, and HASPs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or closely related discipline).
•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education engineering experience, including prior mechanical design experience.
•Engineer license required.
•Extensive knowledge of building and infrastructure design, planning, design, and construction management.
•Proficiency with mechanical engineering principles and technical calculations; highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
