Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing management of Jefferies’ Network Security Program within the global information security team.
  • •Use AI/LLM and automation to build processes that audit, secure, and improve the network security and segmentation posture.
  • •Partner with the Networking Security Engineering team to deploy and manage global network segmentation with a focus on security architecture.
  • •Deploy and manage network security tooling (Palo Alto firewalls, Illumio, Cloudflare WAF/NAC, and related platforms) and troubleshoot/escalate issues as needed.
  • •Collaborate with Infrastructure and Applications teams to align network security policies with business needs and provide leadership across cross-functional, global, and remote teams.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of technical experience in networking and network security.
  • •Experience with automation and scripting using Python and LLMs.
  • •Experience building and implementing network automation across multiple vendors and platforms.
  • •Significant hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto), globalProtect, WAF, NAC (ISE or equivalent), Illumio for micro-segmentation, and related tools; proficient with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, TCPDUMP).
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of intrusion detection, incident response, data encryption, and IT security controls; ability to lead multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams.
