Job Summary

Ship end-to-end features for the Better Stack product with ownership across backend and frontend. You’ll write, test, and deploy secure, fast, scalable code, shape the user experience and UI polish, and optimize performance (including database query benchmarking). Work asynchronously with lightweight collaboration and directly with leadership to deliver features in a single day—using an AI-assisted workflow and a modern stack built around Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities

•Use AI-assisted development to produce high-quality code.
•Implement, test, and deploy secure, fast, scalable production features independently or with lightweight collaboration.
•Deliver end-to-end features across backend and frontend in a single day with leadership and design support.
•Optimize frontend performance and consider SEO & AEO while keeping UX fast and polished.
•Maintain security and performance across the stack, including understanding basic web security principles and improving query performance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 60,000 - 120,000 annually

•Use AI to aggressively ship high-quality code, knowing when to leverage models vs. debugging or algorithm design by hand.
•Implement, test, and deploy secure, fast, scalable production code independently or with lightweight collaboration.
•Work end-to-end across backend and frontend, delivering features within a single day in an async environment.
•Maintain strong performance and security across the stack, including basic web security principles without over-relying on frameworks.
•Have experience with web technologies and at least some SQL databases, with a generalist mindset and speed/pragmatism.
