Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead deal origination across Latin America and South America, building and maintaining a pipeline across multiple infrastructure and related sectors.
  • •Develop and execute regional business development strategy through direct engagement with governments, asset owners/operators, strategic partners, and project developers.
  • •Establish and manage strategic stakeholder and government relationships, including co-investor and co-investment partner relationships, to secure access and support deal execution.
  • •Conduct opportunity assessment and preparation, including market research, investment memoranda for the Investment Committee, commercial negotiation support, diligence coordination, and deal structuring support.
  • •Lead and mentor the business development team, and travel across assigned regions (20-30% time) to maintain relationships, identify opportunities, and manage critical negotiations.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of professional experience in infrastructure investment or project development, including 10+ years in a senior deal origination, business development, or investment role focused on infrastructure, private equity, or project finance.
  • •Proven ability to originate and source high-quality infrastructure investment opportunities through direct government, asset owner, and developer engagement.
  • •Strong commercial negotiation skills across concession agreements, joint ventures, and purchase agreements, with a working understanding of pricing and governance frameworks.
  • •Deep regional expertise in Latin American and South American political economy, regulatory frameworks, currency dynamics, and key sectors/asset owners/developers.
  • •Experience guiding stage-gate processes and cost estimation from Class 4 to Class 1 bankable estimates, including risk frameworks and institutional financing documentation.
