Key Responsibilities

•Uses significant judgement on moderate to complex Asset/Liability Management (ALM) and Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) problems, covering mid-large, moderately complex accounts; accountable for multiple processes or programs and may have input on department budgets.
•Demonstrates broad knowledge as a senior individual contributor; provides strategic contributions to the team and business partners.
•Helps optimize investment portfolio allocations under insurance liability constraints, economic capital, and rating agency capital considerations.
•Partners with other areas of Nationwide to design investment policy targets and limits.
•Builds and utilizes quantitative models and analytical frameworks to evaluate asset allocation strategies, market scenarios, and assess profitability, risk, and competitiveness.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
•MBA preferred
•CFA designation or work toward designation preferred
•8 to 12 years of investment experience in asset/liability management (ALM), enterprise risk management (ERM), or similar field
•Knowledge of fixed income securities (corporate bonds, CMO, MBS, ABS, commercial mortgage loans) and actuarial models; proficiency with cashflow modeling and fixed income portfolio modeling software
