Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates for hyperscale data center projects, including distribution, substations, UPS, generators, switchgear, busway, grounding, and lighting.
  • •Perform and oversee electrical quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models, covering conduit, cabling, transformers, generators, and related infrastructure.
  • •Develop, validate, and challenge labor, material, and equipment pricing models aligned with budgets and delivery strategies.
  • •Review, analyze, and normalize contractor and subcontractor bids to identify scope gaps, cost risks, and commercial exposure.
  • •Support value engineering and design optioneering by evaluating alternative electrical systems and installation methods while maintaining redundancy and reliability requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with strong preference for data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • •Advanced technical knowledge of power distribution systems, backup generation, UPS systems, electrical codes, and labor productivity.
  • •Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar platforms, including interpreting BIM-based information.
  • •Demonstrated ability to estimate high-density/hyperscale electrical systems and to clearly articulate cost drivers, assumptions, and risks.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience.
