Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs, for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems).
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation, and maintain the vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation; document work performed and parts used using iOS device and the TRAIT application, and coordinate approvals with management/support via email or phone.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent higher level degree/certification or 5+ years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and complete/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
