Job Summary

Maintain and repair pump, power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility while using work-order technology to diagnose issues and track service intervals. Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and on customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with setup and operation. Maintain accurate paperwork, order parts, and support training of lower level technicians. Schedule runs Monday–Friday with overtime and potential on-call compensation.

Key Responsibilities

•Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
•Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and diagnose issues by pulling data from multiple equipment makes/models.
•Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air compressors, including travel to customer job sites when required.
•Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, then handle the repairs.
•Maintain daily paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed, and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Requirements

•Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/understanding schematics.
•Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
•EPA 608 certification preferred; if not already certified, obtain within 6–12 months of employment.
