Job Summary

Provide expert legal counsel for development of large-scale datacenter infrastructure and supporting utilities, including land acquisition, permitting, zoning, environmental reviews, and power and pipeline projects. Draft and negotiate complex real estate and commercial agreements such as PPAs, interconnection agreements, fuel supply contracts, and EPC agreements. Partner with internal stakeholders to brief regulators and negotiate construction and vendor contracts to bring projects fully online.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide expert legal guidance for datacenter infrastructure and supporting utilities, including land acquisition, construction, power generation, transmission/distribution, pipelines, water and wastewater treatment, fiber/communications, transportation access, and worker accommodations.
•Draft and negotiate land purchases, easements, rights-of-way, leases, PPAs, interconnection agreements, fuel supply contracts, pipeline capacity agreements, and other real estate/commercial documents.
•Advise on municipal, county, State, and Federal requirements for zoning, permitting, environmental reviews, power generation and utility interconnections, gas pipeline development and safety, water rights, wastewater treatment, and air permitting.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brief regulators (including public utility commissions, environmental agencies, pipeline safety regulators, and permitting authorities) on applicable matters.
•Negotiate complex construction and EPC agreements, vendor and supply contracts for datacenter buildout and related utility infrastructure, fuel procurement/delivery, and spaceport development.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•JD (or foreign equivalent) from an ABA-accredited law school.
•Active licensed attorney.
•7+ years of legal experience.
•Must be admitted to the bar, in good standing, in at least one U.S. state.
•Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
