Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain iPSC lines and differentiate them into 2D cardiomyocyte (monolayer) formats with rigorous QC and scalable production workflows.
  • •Build isogenic iPSC-CM disease models using patient and CRISPR-edited lines, and characterize cellular models to study cardiovascular pathophysiology.
  • •Design and optimize functional assays for cardiovascular disease including contractility, electrophysiology, calcium handling, stress responses, and high-content imaging compatible with high-throughput acquisition.
  • •Ensure rigor and reproducibility through technical documentation, writing/reviewing SOPs, presenting results, and maintaining laboratory notebooks.
  • •Contribute to target identification and validation by connecting cellular phenotypes to human genetic evidence and aligning with team drug discovery goals.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant biotech/biopharma experience.
  • •Deep hands-on expertise in iPSC culture and cardiac directed differentiation, including iPSC-CM model characterization in 2D (monolayer) format.
  • •Experience developing genetic iPSC-CM disease models using patient-derived and CRISPR-edited isogenic lines to study cardiovascular mechanisms.
  • •Experience with functional assays relevant to cardiomyocyte biology (contractility, calcium handling, electrophysiology, imaging, stress responses), ideally with high-throughput/automated platforms.
