Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote and follow plant safety guidelines and ensure CapEx projects are delivered safely.
  • •Review company and CRH Group safety policies, procedures, and documentation to keep them current and consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • •Review contract safety requirements for suppliers and contractors and validate safety awareness, policies, culture, and statistics.
  • •Conduct safety risk assessments, perform safety audits, and physically inspect job sites to identify safety issues.
  • •Issue safety alerts, review RCA with site personnel, ensure lessons learned are implemented, and prepare monthly safety reports for management.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 4-year/bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field.
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience in a lead technical role in the mining and cement industry.
  • •Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulatory requirements and CRH Life-Saving Rules, including experience reviewing contractor safety requirements for bid alignment.
  • •Experience conducting safety risk assessments, safety audits, and root cause analyses (RCA).
  • •Proficient English written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read warning labels, instructions, and signs.
