Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.
  • •Leverage technologies such as PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, Lightning, and vector databases to uncover insights from large numeric and textual data.
  • •Build AI foundation models across all development phases, including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • •Conduct high-impact applied research to push state-of-the-art AI developments into next-generation customer experiences.
  • •Translate technical complexity into tangible business goals by working with stakeholders to identify and improve the status quo.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 238,600 - 272,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •PhD (or in process to obtain by the scheduled start date) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields; or an M.S. in a related field plus 2 years of applied research experience.
  • •Deep understanding of the foundations of AI methodologies and hands-on experience developing AI foundation models using open-source tools and cloud platforms.
  • •Experience building large deep learning models (language, images, events, or graphs) and expertise in areas such as training optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, explainability, or RLHF.
  • •An engineering mindset with a track record delivering models at scale across training data and inference volumes.
  • •Ability to own and pursue a research agenda, choosing impactful problems and carrying out long-running projects with high-quality outcomes (e.g., publications).
