Job Summary

Support month-end close by preparing and posting monthly journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and resolving variances. Handle multi-state tax compliance work including sales and use tax return preparation and exemption certificate maintenance. Manage fleet and operational finance activities such as vehicle reimbursements, fuel cards, EZ Pass accounts, and related reconciliations. Contribute to internal controls, support external audits, and identify process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and post monthly journal entries (including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications) and support general ledger month-end close.
•Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances with documented support.
•Support multi-state tax compliance by preparing and filing monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns and maintaining exemption certificate files.
•Administer fleet and operational finance functions including vehicle reimbursement (Motus), fuel card program (WEX), fuel receipt processing, and EZ Pass account reconciliation and charge allocation.
•Ensure compliance and internal controls by adhering to financial procedures, preparing documentation for external audit, and supporting process improvement and SOP documentation.
