Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and embed an engineering metrics framework to track delivery health and team performance across Commerce.
  • •Review metrics at team, product, and portfolio levels to surface bottlenecks and delivery risks early.
  • •Embed retrospective learnings into process standards to create continuous improvement across Commerce teams.
  • •Pilot AI-assisted tooling to improve planning accuracy, effort estimation, and workflow automation.
  • •Translate academic research findings into product functionality and participate in interdisciplinary research and mentoring programs.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD (preferred) or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with research focus on large-scale agile development, engineering metrics, or communities of practice.
  • •Research background (publications preferred) in innovation and/or AI adoption in software development models such as scrum/agile.
  • •Applied industry-academic research experience related to agile contexts and delivering data-driven recommendations with industry partners.
  • •Hands-on technical skills in data analysis and LLM/AI-assisted prototyping, including working with engineering telemetry data (e.g., Jira) to generate delivery insights.
  • •Experience leading research projects and managing industry-academic partnerships and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
