On-site Shop Trailer Mechanic II performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and trailer systems work for Cox Fleet. You’ll assist senior technicians, document work, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations while contributing to high productivity in a dedicated shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow safe operating practices and procedures; ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
•Determine parts required for each job and coordinate with Shop Parts Department.
•Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist in daily cleanup of tools and equipment.
•Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop setting.
•Document work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using company devices and/or Karmak application.

Salary: USD 24.23 - 36.35 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination).
•Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•ASE T8 (PMI) certification or obtained within 18 months.
