Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical systems and components including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related trailer systems.
  • •Use test instruments, road test vehicles, and independently assess information to determine appropriate repairs and priorities.
  • •Maintain parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck; perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections, and document findings and parts used.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders accurately on a company-issued iOS device using the TRAIT application; communicate with management and support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination such as additional certification or 5 years related experience.
  • •Ability to supply hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; submit a current DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining if applicable.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and maintain a valid state driver’s license with required MVR review and Driver Qualification File.
