Job Summary

Support and manage Visa’s global network and cloud as an individual contributor within Infrastructure Reliability Engineering – Network Services. You’ll troubleshoot complex 2nd-level IP network issues, coordinate incidents and problem resolution, deploy network design implementations, and maintain operational runbooks. Partner with global operations, Network Engineering, and Network Tools teams to improve network reliability, perform post-mortem root-cause analysis, and support automation coding using Python.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot and resolve advanced 2nd-level network problems, coordinate resources as needed, and act as an escalation point for 1st-level teams.
•Respond to IP network incidents within severity-timeframe agreements, and deploy client solutions and network design implementations.
•Support network management processes to deliver requests and problems without impacting global communications.
•Participate in or lead problem resolution during real-time crisis bridge calls and perform post-mortem root-cause analysis.
•Create and maintain operational runbooks, document changes, and support automation coding efforts using Python.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (postgraduate degree a plus).
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in network support/administration.
•Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
•Hands-on packet analysis experience using Wireshark or similar tools, plus security and WAN/LAN technologies.
•CCNA is mandatory; experience with highly available, highly secure networks and networking tools such as SolarWinds/Netbrain/Netscout.
