Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and deploy robust ETL/ELT pipelines in BigQuery or Databricks using SQL, Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
  • •Implement and manage Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) using Delta Lake or BigQuery datasets to ensure progressive refinement and data quality.
  • •Use native ingestion tooling (e.g., BigQuery Data Transfer Service, Pub/Sub streaming, or Databricks Auto Loader) to ingest and incrementally load sources like GA4.
  • •Optimize BigQuery tables and Spark/Delta workflows for performance and cost, including partitioning, clustering, materialized views, and Delta maintenance techniques.
  • •Provide governance, security, discovery, and production support (monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation), while collaborating with technical and business teams.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of data engineering experience building distributed data pipelines, with deep focus on lakehouse platforms.
  • •Strong lakehouse expertise in Google BigQuery and/or Databricks, including query-performance diagnosis and optimization.
  • •Proven proficiency with Apache Spark/Delta Lake, including writing and optimizing PySpark and Spark SQL jobs and Delta Lake features.
  • •Advanced SQL and Python experience (SQL: 6+ years; Python: 5+ years) for building transformation pipelines and analysis-ready datasets.
  • •Experience across Azure, AWS, and GCP (including storage and IAM/security), plus orchestration, governance, and CI/CD practices.
