Key Responsibilities

  • •Use student insight, feedback, surveys, focus groups, and engagement data to identify needs, evaluate impact, and drive continuous improvement.
  • •Lead and contribute to planning and delivery of Welcome, induction, transition, and pre-arrival programmes to support student integration.
  • •Develop and deliver inclusive wellbeing campaigns, workshops, and engagement initiatives that foster resilience, personal development, community, and belonging.
  • •Provide proactive guidance and first-line support to students via the Student Hub and other contact points, identifying needs and referring to specialist services.
  • •Provide wellbeing support including one-to-one advice, early intervention support plans, managing sensitive cases, and coordinating referrals to internal and external services.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification(s).
  • •Significant experience working in a professional environment, including supporting young adults in Higher Education (desirable).
  • •Understanding of safeguarding principles for adults at risk and under 18s, including knowledge of Office for Students requirements relating to harassment and sexual violence.
  • •High level knowledge of good practice in disability and mental health within a Higher Education environment.
  • •Significant experience of organising large-scale programmes of events and supporting students with welfare issues.
