Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely on required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork) and perform routine vehicle service checks while reporting maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical and background/drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, including a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive position.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and endure prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
