Job Summary

Lead the technical development and integration of vehicle systems for a maritime product, owning system interfaces and performance from concept through delivery. Drive vehicle schedule and execution across product generations, managing prototype testing, demonstrations, and transition into production. Own vehicle budget and cost performance while ensuring subsystems are compliant. Provide vehicle-level technical leadership, escalate and deconflict decisions, represent the team with leadership and customers, and mentor senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the vehicle system, its interfaces to other systems, and overall performance against program and product requirements for a new start platform.
•Own vehicle schedule and execution across product generations, including development timing, prototype testing, demonstrations, and transition from prototype designs to rate manufacturing.
•Own vehicle developmental budget and cost performance, ensuring subsystems are compliant and targeting cost reduction per system cost plan.
•Provide technical leadership at the vehicle level, including technical performance, design principles adherence, and sustainment of issue-resolution activities.
•Escalate and deconflict technical decisions for the vehicle system team, represent the team in leadership/customer meetings, and lead cadenced team meetings while mentoring senior and principal engineers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering (or relevant field) or equivalent experience.
•Extensive professional experience working as an engineer with one or more domains and/or areas of technical expertise.
•Extensive professional experience leading projects or managing execution across diverse engineering disciplines.
•Extensive experience with detailed project planning at the product or system level across diverse engineering disciplines.
•Experience transitioning projects/programs/products from prototype design and testing through production.
