Job Summary

Build and evolve Cloudinary’s Agent Experience (AX) so LLMs and coding agents can reliably provision, authenticate, and invoke media capabilities. Own MCP servers and an agent-first CLI, harden the agent media path to prevent silent failures, and partner on instrumentation to measure agent success. Work across a polyglot backend using Node.js/TypeScript, Ruby/Rails, and Go, collaborating closely with Product and other teams on agent-first API and protocol design.

Key Responsibilities

•Build agent-facing surfaces including API-first account provisioning, machine-to-machine authentication, scoped credentials, and agent identity and attribution.
•Own MCP servers and an agent-first CLI so coding agents and LLMs can discover and invoke Cloudinary reliably.
•Harden the agent media path by making uploads and core media operations reliable for non-human callers.
•Make agent behavior measurable by partnering on instrumentation, signals, and attribution.
•Work across a polyglot backend and ship, measure, and iterate while representing the agent’s perspective in product decisions.

Key Requirements

•10+ years building and operating production APIs, SDKs, and backend systems at scale.
•Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript, comfortable ramping on Ruby/Rails and/or Go.
•Deep understanding of API and protocol design fundamentals including authentication, versioning, idempotency, and rate limiting.
•Solid distributed-systems and cloud instincts (AWS or equivalent).
•Strong written communication for machine consumers and distributed teammates.
