Senior Construction Manager to lead proactive planning and execution of construction activities for greenfield mining projects across remote locations in Canada. Responsible for safety, schedule, cost, and quality; directs field staff; collaborates with engineering teams to ensure constructability and timely delivery of major mining facilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure project safety regulations, project health and safety manual and site procedures are in place, maintained on the project and applied
•Proactively manage and report on the status of safety, quality, schedule and cost of the construction activities
•Develop construction strategy, execution plan and leadership in the development of the construction schedule
•Plan, interview and recommend to senior management, the assignment of field staff to the Construction Management team
•Responsible for Construction Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS) and Work Packages and provide input into Procurement and Contracting Work Packages

Key Requirements

•Engineering technologist diploma or related degree is considered an asset
•15-20 years of experience in construction management with mining or heavy industrial projects
•At least 10 years increasing responsibility as a construction manager
•Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
•AutoCAD and/or 3D design/drafting software capabilities are considered an asset
