Key Responsibilities

  • •Set and align the team’s technical strategy on a year-long horizon with business-impacting projects.
  • •Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ensure sustainability, manage risks and trade-offs.
  • •Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating technical solutions and operational processes.
  • •Own team operations and availability through monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing and alerting for on-call readiness.
  • •Foster a culture of quality by setting coding and design standards and sharing them through writing and talks.

Salary: USD 200,000 - 275,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
  • •Experience developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes
  • •Experience supporting scale up/down of large scale sales events (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday)
  • •Experience tuning autoscaling, CPU/Memory, and multi-threading for compute-type workloads
  • •Strong ability to deliver major features or components with a clear technical/execution plan and write high quality, understandable code
