Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and repairs to required standards.
  • •Diagnose faults and fit replacement parts correctly to support warranty claim compliance.
  • •Attend customer sites as required to carry out repairs and complete vehicle-related modifications.
  • •Complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and other relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
  • •Answer VMU telephone enquiries promptly and maintain strict health, safety, and environmental standards (including PPE and safe systems of work).

Key Requirements

  • •Desirable: GCSEs in Mathematics and English, plus electrical and mechanical certificates (NVQ in mechanical engineering or relevant experience).
  • •Essential: mechanical technical engineering experience with the ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • •Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information.
  • •Computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • •Full driving licence and flexibility to work at different locations when required.
