Job Summary

Based in Milan, you will develop and execute the strategy for Liability & Environmental Impairment Liability risks in the Italian market, support local targets, and act as the contact for agents/brokers. You will coordinate with the Liability Team and other areas to align underwriting, pricing, products, and marketing strategies, ensuring consistency with corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines
•Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Liability to drive the achievement of financial targets
•Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycle
•Work closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling
•Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework

Key Requirements

•Master's degree in Law or Economics
•At least 3 to 5 years' proven experience in underwriting profitable Liability business for corporate clients
•Proven leadership skills and ability to drive underwriting projects
•Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•Strong knowledge of risk assessment and policy administration life cycle
