Key Responsibilities

  • •Support collection documentation and governance, including acquisitions planning, accessioning, and alignment with collection policies.
  • •Lead operational arrangement, description, cataloguing, and labeling of physical collections, maintaining classification systems and accurate metadata entry.
  • •Manage loans, exhibitions, and object movement, coordinating packing, international shipping, courier arrangements, insurance, and required loan documentation.
  • •Oversee storage, handling, and collections care, including environmental controls, conservation coordination, condition assessments, and emergency preparedness.
  • •Facilitate controlled access for authorized users and support research requests, while coordinating digitization efforts with appropriate capture standards and metadata alignment.

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor’s degree in Archival Studies, Library and Information Science, Museum Studies, History, or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 5–8 years of experience in collections management, archives, or museum environments.
  • •Demonstrated experience in physical collections management and cataloguing, with strong knowledge of archival standards and preservation practices.
  • •Proven ability to manage sensitive historical materials.
  • •Professional certification in archives or collections management; postgraduate study will be preferred.
